If the teeth are chipped, cracked, misaligned, or discolored; a plastic putty-like resin is used to rebuild the teeth and make them look natural. Usually, this procedure lasts 3-5 years before needing touch-up for wear or discoloration.

After preparingthe tooth, a composite resin is applied and shaped to fill in chips or correct other problems.

The resin is exposed to a bonding light that dries and hardens it. The tooth is then smoothed and polished to complete the procedure.
